Bodies in Motion

Movement and dance have always fascinated me. The body moves through time and space creating a trail that the eye cannot see. Our vision captures nothing more than an ever-changing sliver of what is happening; once passed, the parade of slivers exists only in our memories. The camera, on the other hand, can freeze a sliver of our fleeting vision and record a segment of the parade as a blur.

These photographs are about time and transition. The model’s body, often accompanied by swirling pieces of fabric, leaves trails and creates new visual forms from the movement.
